Neues Haus is the name of a stand-alone building in the saddle between Fichtelberg and Klínovec in the Saxon Ore Mountains in the early 18th century .

The new house is 1083.2 m above sea level. NN on the pass road raised in 1708 to Poststrasse from the health resort Oberwiesenthal to Jáchymov (St. Joachimsthal) in the Czech Republic . Göftel's house (1529 Gufftel's house ), the old house so to speak , stood near the New House as early as 1528 . In 1820 August Schumann's Lexicon of Saxony contained an entry on the New House. In 1842 (possibly not until 1844) the New House burned down, but was soon rebuilt. In 1852 the house was granted a liquor license, but with the condition that a bell tower be erected on the roof to show hikers the direction in fog and poor visibility. In 1860 the building burned down again and was rebuilt.

With the increase in tourism at the end of the 19th century, the New House became a destination for excursions and summer retreat, as well as a winter sports area and horn sledge station. The poet and singer of the Ore Mountains Anton Günther came very often from his near place of birth and residence Gottesgab across the Saxon-Bohemian border and sang his songs to the lute and guitar in the New House.

Before 1913, Max Köhler wrote and composed the Rodelmarsch , which was sold on an illustrated song postcard in the New House.

In 1915, work began on building the Tower of Loyalty to the Alliance opposite the New House .

During the Second World War , the New House was used as a ski hut by the German Wehrmacht (Fl. A. Command 4) in winter . Soldiers received ski courses here.

In the GDR, the New House was expanded into a company holiday home for the VEB machine tool combine " Fritz Heckert " Karl-Marx-Stadt .

Today the new house is used again as a mountain inn.
