Anton Eger

Anton Wilhelm Eger (born December 9, 1980 in Oslo ) is a Swedish jazz musician ( drums ) who belongs to the groups JazzKamikaze and Phronesis .

Act

Eger studied jazz at the Rytmisk Music Conservatory in Copenhagen with Django Bates . He played on Bates' album Spring is Here (Shall We Dance?) (2008). With the Scandinavian quintet JazzKamikaze he has released several albums since 2005 and played at international festivals such as Kongsberg Jazz Festival , Moldejazz , North Sea Jazz Festival , Bangkok Jazz Festival and even at the opening of the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro.

In 2005 the bassist Jasper Høiby founded the Trio Phronesis with him , which developed very successfully with the pianist / saxophonist Ivo Neame and with which he has released seven albums so far. In addition, he also worked with Marius Neset , in the quartet People Are Machines (which, in addition to Neset, also included Petter Eldh and Magnus Hjorth ), as well as with the trio The World , Daniel Heløy Davidsen, Daniel Herskedal , Veronica Mortensen , Morten Schantz and with Kill Screen Music .
