Anton Graf Schwerin von Krosigk

Count Anton Schwerin von Krosigk (born June 21, 1925 in Heeren-Werve ) was district administrator of the Segeberg district from April 1, 1966 to July 3, 1990 . He is considered one of the longest serving local politicians in Schleswig-Holstein .

Life

Anton Graf Schwerin von Krosigk was born at Haus Heeren and is one of nine children of the last Reich Minister of Finance (1932 to 1945) Johann Ludwig Graf Schwerin von Krosigk and his wife Ehrengard, née. Baroness von Plettenberg. A great-great-uncle by marriage was Karl Marx , author of the communist manifesto .

The non-party lawyer began after high school and study his career at an accounting firm, the Federal Administrative Court and the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . As Segeberger district administrator he was confirmed in office several times and served 8888 days. At the same time, Count Anton Schwerin von Krosigk chaired the Segeberg DRK district association . From 1984 to 1988 he was Vice President of the German Library Association , the umbrella organization for all German state, community, special and church libraries. Count Schwerin von Krosigk was one of the founding members of the Rotary Club Segeberg in 1969 and is a member of the Order of St. John . He has been the recipient of the Heinrich Rantzau Medal of the city of Segeberg since 1984 and has received the Federal Cross of Merit twice .

Count Anton Schwerin von Krosigk lives in Bad Segeberg and has been married to the archaeologist Hildegard Schwerin von Krosigk since 1950 , with whom he has four children.
