Anton Ignaz Müntzer (born September 10, 1659 in Oberglogau , † January 11, 1714 in Breslau ) was titular bishop of Madaura and from 1709 to 1714 auxiliary bishop and official in Breslau .

Life

Anton Ignaz Müntzer came from a family of councilors from Oberglogau. His parents Paul and Hedwig intended him for the spiritual profession. He first studied humanities and philosophy in Neisse . From February 1682 he studied theology in Rome, where he was an alumnus of the Collegium Germanicum and was ordained a priest. In 1685 he returned to Silesia and from 1687 to 1692 was pastor in Groß-Bargen near Trachenberg . In 1692 he received a canonical at the Breslau cathedral and in 1694 he became dean of the Oberglogau collegiate monastery .
