Anton Klotz (politician)

Anton Klotz (* 1952 ) is a German local politician ( CSU ). From May 1, 2014 to 2020, Klotz was District Administrator of the Oberallgäu district . From 2008 to 2014 he was Deputy District Administrator Gebhard Kaiser .

Klotz is a trained agricultural journalist . His political career began in 1990 as an honorary first mayor in Haldenwang , which he then held full-time from 1996 to 2014. Since 1996 he has been a member of the Oberallgäu district council and since 2002 chairman of the Bavarian municipal council , Oberallgäu district association. He did not run in the local elections in Bavaria in 2020 . In the runoff election, the district administration mandate did not go to his favored party colleague and DOSB President Alfons Hörmann , but to Indra Baier-Müller ( Free Voters ).

Klotz is married and has two grown children.

criticism

Anton Klotz was criticized by the nature conservation associations LBV and BN for authorizing a small hydropower plant in the Hintersteiner Valley, even against the legal situation . For the power plant, the Ostrach was to be dammed by a concrete wall above a nature , landscape and bird sanctuary , which is also designated as a natural monument . In November 2017, the Augsburg Administrative Court declared the power plant's approval to be unlawful.
