Anton "Toni" Makarenko (born August 22, 1988 in Charkow , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian football player .

Career

Makarenko began his career at SV Kauerhof in Sulzbach-Rosenberg , and in 2006 he moved from the youth team of 1. FC Nürnberg to FC Augsburg , where he was initially used in the second team.

Since the 2007/08 season he was in the FCA's licensed players. On the eighth day of the season Makarenko played his first second division game. In the away game at SC Paderborn 07 he was substituted on in the 35th minute. From January 2009 he played for SSV Reutlingen - initially for six months on loan . In the summer of 2010 he moved to third division promoted SV Babelsberg , with whom the Ukrainian managed to stay in the third division in the following two years. After 68 games and 13 goals for Babelsberg, his move to league rivals Chemnitzer FC was announced in May 2012 , where he received a two-year contract.

In the third division 2014/15 season he played for Energie Cottbus . For the 2015/16 season he moved to SpVgg Bayreuth in the Regionalliga Bayern .

International

Anton Makarenko played for the Ukrainian U-21s for the first time in a 1-0 draw with Sweden and a 2-2 win against Scotland, right after returning from training camp from Portugal in January 2008.

In addition, Anton Makarenko has been involved in Show Racism the Red Card Deutschland e. V. In October he took part in a workshop of the education initiative and reported to the students about his own experiences with racism and discrimination .
