Anton Sergejewitsch Poleschtschuk ( Russian Антон Сергеевич Полещук ; born February 21, 1987 in Surgut , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player .
Career
Anton Poleschtschuk began his career as a hockey player at HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2003 to 2006 . At the same time, the defender made his professional ice hockey debut for HK MWD Tver and Molot-Prikamje Perm from the Russian Super League in the 2005/06 season . In the 2006/07 season he moved up to the professional squad of HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk and won the Russian championship title with the team at the end of the season . Following this success, the former junior international moved to Chimik Voskressensk from the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division. With Chimik he took part in the game operations of the newly founded Continental Hockey League in the 2008/09 season . For Chimik he played 34 games in the KHL, in which he scored one goal and three assists. After the team went bankrupt, he joined the second division team Gasowik Tyumen for the 2009/10 season .
From 2010 to 2012 Poleschchuk played for Toros Neftekamsk in the new second Russian division, the Vysschaya Hockey League . He won the Bratina Cup with Toros in the 2011/12 season . For the 2012/13 season , Poleschchuk was signed by league rivals Yuzhny Ural Orsk and was also eligible to play for Metallurg Magnitogorsk. At the end of November 2012 he was then signed by Amur Khabarovsk before he was selected by Admiral Vladivostok during the expansion draft on June 17, 2013 .
In November 2013 he was exchanged for Dmitri Sergejewitsch Vorobjow from HK Avangard Omsk .
International
For Russia , Poleschchuk took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2005 . In the course of the tournament he played six games in which he remained pointless.
