Dmitri Sergejewitsch Vorobjow ( Russian Дмитрий Сергеевич Воробьёв ; born October 18, 1985 in Tolyatti , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Dukla Michalovce from the Slovakian extra league since September 2019 and plays there in the position of defender .
Career
Dmitri Vorobjow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the HK Lada Tolyatti , for whose professional team he was active in the Russian super league from 2003 to 2008 . In the 2004/05 season the defender was runner-up with his team, in the following season he won the IIHF Continental Cup with the HK Lada at European level . For the 2008/09 season , the HK Lada Tolyatti was included in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . Shortly before the end of the season he moved within the league to Salawat Yulayev Ufa , for which he only played five games before he spent the following season at HK Dynamo Moscow .
In the 2010/11 season Vorobjow was on the ice for SKA Saint Petersburg in the KHL. At the same time, he played two games for their farm team HK WMF Saint Petersburg in the Wysschaja Hockey League , the second Russian division. For the 2011/12 season , the Russian was committed by Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod .
In January 2012 Badjukow returned to the SKA and completed for this by the end of the 2012/13 season 68 KHL games before he was given in May 2013 for a right to vote in the KHL Junior Draft 2013 to Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. In August of the same year he left Torpedo again after the club exchanged him for Pavel Walentenko from HK Awangard Omsk . A few months later, it was again part of an exchange deal when it was given to Admiral Vladivostok in November 2013 . In return, Anton Poleschtschuk moved to Omsk.
In May 2014 he returned to his hometown club Lada Tolyatti, where he played until the summer of 2018. After a season with Amur Khabarovsk , the Russian moved to HK Dukla Michalovce from the Slovak extra league in September 2019 .
International
For Russia , Vorobyov took part in the junior division exclusively in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2005 , where he won the silver medal with his team. In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 2008 World Cup , where he became world champion with Russia and in 2006, 2007 and 2008 at the Euro Hockey Tour .
