Simon Anton Victor Friedrich Hermann Guido Freiherr von Tubeuf (born June 28, 1870 in Amorbach , † July 22, 1950 in Bad Aibling ) was a Bavarian officer .

Life

origin

He was the youngest son of the princely Liningian domain director Simon Anton Freiherr von Tubeuf (* 1802 in Boxberg; † 19 July 1870) and his wife Luise, born von Ploennies (1839-1915), who had married in Beerfelden in 1860. His brothers were Carl (1862–1941) and Ernst (1864–1941). In the school year 1879/80 he entered Munich's Maximiliansgymnasium and passed the Abitur there in 1889.

Military career

After graduating from high school , Tubeuf joined the 16th Infantry Regiment of the Bavarian Army as a three-year-old volunteer in August 1889 and on March 6, 1890 was portepéefähnrich. From 1896 to 1897 he served as a regimental adjutant. and was promoted to first lieutenant in September 1899 . As a battalion commander in the 22nd Infantry Regiment , Tubeuf came to the front on September 7, 1914 at the beginning of the First World War . According to journalist Egon Fein , Tubeuf is said to have stayed in the position until August 6, when he was admitted to the hospital because of a stomach ailment. On June 1, 1918, he was awarded the Military Max Joseph Order for his achievements . After he retired from military service as a lieutenant colonel in August or December 1919, he retired in Bad Aibling .

Anton von Tubeuf was married to Else, née Rummel (1878–1959). Son Guido Freiherr von Tubeuf (born August 9, 1899 in Passau), 1914-1917 Student of the Munich Maximilian Gymnasium, fell in the First World War in France as a cadet on 30 March 1918.
