Antonia Hausmann

Antonia Hausmann (* around 1990) is a German jazz musician ( trombone , composition ).

Live and act

Hausmann, who grew up in Jonsdorf , first learned the clarinet and then switched to the trombone. From 2009 she studied at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden with Michael Winkler, since 2010 at the Hochschule für Musik Leipzig with Simon Harrer and from 2013 to 2014 in Lucerne with Nils Wogram . From 2015 she completed a master’s degree with Johannes Lauer . Since 2012 she has played in the collaborative quartet Trio.Diktion with Matti Oehl , Philip Frischkorn and Jakob Petzl, which released its second album Serenade in 2017 . In the trio flamink , she combined classical song art with jazz with singer Cindy Weinhold and drummer Tom Friedrich and in 2014 released the album So Seen . She also plays in a duo with drummer Philipp Scholz .

She is also a member of the game association Sued and the sextet of Volker Heuken , with which two albums were created. She also belongs to the band Karl the Great around the singer-songwriter Wencke Wollny, who released her third album in 2017 that her superhero always exaggerates . She also accompanied Clueso on several tours. She can also be heard on albums by Cafe Jazz , Lotte , Jan Roth and Katharina Franck .

Prizes and awards

Hausmann and Trio.Diktion received the Leipzig Young Talent Award in 2014 and the second prize at the Young Munich Jazz Prize concert finale in 2016 . With flamink she was one of the finalists in the competition of the Leverkusener Jazztage in 2016 .
