Antonia Knupfer (born June 16, 1992 in Weil der Stadt ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Knupfer was born in Weil der Stadt and started her career at SpVgg Weil der Stadt. She then attended Northridge High School in Layton , Utah , as part of a student exchange program at Johannes Kepler High School in Reutlingen . During this time (September 2009 to March 2010) Knupfer played for the Northridge Knights women's soccer team there . After graduating in spring 2010, she returned to Germany and went to SpVgg Warmbronn. There, the 18-year-old became a top scorer and developed into a top performer in the first six months, which brought her a contract with the top division TSV Ludwigsburg in the summer of 2010 . After two years in Ludwigsburg, she moved to the Regionalliga Süd for FV Löchgau at the beginning of the 2012/2013 season .

Knupfer left FV Löchgau in June 2013 and moved to the reserve team of Bundesliga club VfL Sindelfingen . There she made her debut in the Regionalliga Süd against her ex-club FV Löchgau on September 8, 2013. Knupfer played eight regional league games until spring 2014 and scored one goal before making her women's Bundesliga debut for VfL Sindelfingen on March 16, 2014 in a 12-0 defeat against 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam . She has been a goalkeeper since the 2015/16 season and made ten games in the Sindelfingen goal before moving to SC Sand's reserve in summer 2016 . She made three appearances for Sand II in the 2nd Bundesliga South and before moving to FF USV Jena in June 2017 . She left the UPS at the end of January 2018.
