Antonio Domenico Triva (* 1626 in Reggio nell'Emilia , † 1699 in Munich ) was an Italian painter in the Baroque era .

Triva was a student of Guercino in Bologna . He worked in Piacenza , Rovigo , Padova , Brescia , Turin and Venice .

The seven refuges (Anton Triva)

In 1670 he was appointed to Munich by the Elector Ferdinand Maria von Bayern and his wife Henriette Adelaide von Savojen , where he stayed until his death. In Bavaria he was appointed court painter to the Wittelsbach family . His pictures adorn the Nymphenburg Palace , the Munich Residence and the Theatine Church . His sister Flaminia Triva assisted him.
