Antonio Neri (born May 10, 1967 in Argentina ) is an Argentine-American manager and, as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), is responsible for developing and delivering technology solutions and services for large companies with whom hybrid information technology is simplified and components are integrated at the edge of the network.

biography

Neri was born in Argentina in 1967, where he began his training and qualification as an engineering candidate for the Argentine Navy at the age of 15 . After working on the repair of ship radar and sonar systems , he began studying engineering at the National Technical School in Bahia Blanca, which he continued at the Technical University there. He also studied art and taught drawing and art painting as a professor.

He began his professional career at an information technology company in Italy and switched to the HP service center in Amsterdam in 1995, where he was given the position of IT service engineer after just six months . Subsequently, he was responsible for training and a call center as a manager and finally IT service manager for Europe. In 1997, he moved to Boise , Idaho, as head of the machine vision and printer department .

In 2004 he moved to the PC Services division in Houston , Texas, where he headed the Technology Services division from 2011 . Before the company was split into HPE and the HP company , he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the group of companies, responsible for the server and network departments that developed marketing strategies and their implementation.

In 2017 he became Executive Vice President and General Manager of the HPE group of companies with the areas of servers, networks, storage media and technology services . In February 2018, he succeeded Meg Whitman as the first Latino Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and joined the Board of Directors .

He is currently also a director of Anthem Inc.

Services

Neri promoted a number of technological projects: the HPE Apollo platform for high performance computing, the modular HP Superdome Flex platform for in-memory computing, the composable infrastructure platform HP-Synergy, the Cloudline server portfolio for providers and the software-defined computing platform HPE Moonshot. He supported the acquisition of Aruba Networks , Silicon Graphics International (SGI), SimplyVity, Niara, Rasa Networks, Nimble Storage, Cloud Cruiser, Cloud Technology Partners and Blue Data Systems.

In the course of the comprehensive restructuring of the company, he focused the strategic direction of HPE and reduced the management levels; he gave a new image, reduced the stakes by 75 percent, promoted inventions, especially edge computing and modernized the entire information technology of the company with HP Next; he also designed the interior design for the new headquarters in San Jose, California. At the same time, he promoted corporate culture and the recognition of gender diversity.
