Antoniwka ( Ukrainian Антонівка ; Russian Антоновка Antonowka ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Oblast Chernihiv with about 750 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in the middle of the 17th century, became the property of the Tarnowskyj family at the end of the 18th century under the Russian Empress Catherine II . Today Antoniwka is the only village in the district council of the same name in the south of Varwa Rajon .
The village is located near the border with Poltava Oblast on the left bank of the Udaj , a right tributary of the Sula , 26 km southwest of the Varva district center and 190 km southeast of the Chernihiv oblast center .
