Antti Okkonen (born June 6, 1982 in Oulu ) is a Finnish football player. He plays in the position of defensive midfielder.

At the age of 18, Antti Okkonen moved from his home club AC Oulu to the first division club MyPa . During this time he played 98 first division games and scored six goals. Okkonen made his debut in the Veikkausliiga from May 3, 2000 against Turku PS , in the second leg against TPS on October 22, 2000 he scored his first goal in the top Finnish division.

For the 2004 season Okkonen then moved to Sweden to Landskrona BoIS . After three years in Sweden, he was awarded to Silkeborg IF in Denmark for half a year in early 2007 . In January 2008 Okkonen went to Belgium to the first division club RAEC Mons . For the Belgians he played 37 games and scored two goals. When his contract was not renewed after the club's relegation in 2009, Okkonen moved back to MyPa and signed a contract until the end of the season.

National team

Okkonen played 13 games for Finland . Okkonen made his debut on January 26, 2003 in a friendly against Barbados . So far, however, Okkonen has not played a competitive game for Finland, but has only ever played in friendly matches. For the Finnish U-21 national team, Okkonen appeared 18 times, for younger age groups Okkonen played a total of 56 times.
