Apawamis Open 2006

The Apawamis Open 2006 took place February 1-6 , 2006 in Rye , New York , United States . The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2005/06 and belonged to the WSA Gold 35 category . The prize money was $ 41,750.

Vanessa Atkinson , who was seeded in second position , defeated the top seeded reigning world champion, Nicol David , with 9: 6, 9: 2, 9:10 and 9: 7. Atkinson secured their 18th title win on the World Tour.
