Aprath is a Wülfrath village in the Mettmann district in North Rhine-Westphalia near the border with the Wuppertal city ​​area.

Aprath comes from a knight's seat "Abbatisrothe" , first mentioned in 1150 , which was called "Abetrothe" ("clearing of the abbot") in the 12th century and "Abroth" on the Ploennies map in 1715 . Wülfrath-Aprath stop
