Voisberg is a location in the southeast of the Bergisch town of Wülfrath in the Mettmann district .

Location and description

The location is on Voisberger Weg at an altitude of 170  m above sea level. NN above the Düssel near the railway line Wuppertal-Vohwinkel-Essen-Überruhr (Prince Wilhelm Railway) built in 1847 . Neighboring locations are Görtzheide , Brühl , Britten , Düssel and in the neighboring municipality of Wuppertal Radenberg and Kirchenfeld . Another neighboring location, Kleiner Voisberg, possibly a split from Voisberg, was named Kleiner Voisbach on the measurement table from the 1960s and is now part of Kirchenfeld.

history

The farm is recorded as Vosberg on the Topographia Ducatus Montani by Erich Philipp Ploennies from 1715. On the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 as well as on the Prussian first survey from 1843, the place is labeled 'Voisberg'.

55 inhabitants are named for 1815/16. In 1832 Voisberg belonged to the Unterdüssel community of the rural outskirts of the mayor's office in Wülfrath. Which according to the statistics and topography of the district of Dusseldorf as Ackergut categorized place was considered to Voisberg called and had at that time five homes and six farm buildings. At that time 45 people lived in the place, 25 of the Catholic faith and 20 of the Protestant faith.

Today Gut Voisberg is home to a riding facility operated by a riding club.

Klein Voisberg

Klein Voisberg ( 51 ° 15 ′ 42.5 ″  N , 7 ° 4 ′ 4 ″  E ), since 1975 in the municipality of Wuppertal, is recorded from the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824. In the course of the settlement after the Second World War, the location became part of the expanding location of Kirchenfeld and is no longer indicated on the measurement table from 1983. The street Kirchenfelder Weg got its name on February 28, 1956.
