The Apschyzja ( Ukrainian Апшиця ; Russian Апшица / Apschiza , Czechoslovakian Apšice or Apšica , Hungarian Apsa or Apsica ) is a 39 km long right tributary of the Tisza in Carpathian Ukraine in southwestern Ukraine .
The river with a catchment area of 226 km² rises on the southern slope of the 1512 m high Apezka ( Апецька ) mountain in the Carpathian Forest in Rakhiv district of the Transcarpathian Oblast . At first it flows south to the village of Verkhnye Wodjane . There it turns to the southwest to the village of Serednje Vodjane, where it continues to flow in a westerly direction. From there it runs parallel to a few kilometers south flowing river Tisza, to Nyschnja Apscha over to the Tiachiv Raion in Hruschowo in the historic region of Maramures open out into the Tisza to.
The slope of the Apschyzja is 23 m / km.
