The Apschyzja ( Ukrainian Апшиця ; Russian Апшица / Apschiza , Czechoslovakian Apšice or Apšica , Hungarian Apsa or Apsica ) is a 39 km long right tributary of the Tisza in Carpathian Ukraine in southwestern Ukraine .

The river with a catchment area of ​​226 km² rises on the southern slope of the 1512  m high Apezka ( Апецька ) mountain in the Carpathian Forest in Rakhiv district of the Transcarpathian Oblast . At first it flows south to the village of Verkhnye Wodjane . There it turns to the southwest to the village of Serednje Vodjane, where it continues to flow in a westerly direction. From there it runs parallel to a few kilometers south flowing river Tisza, to Nyschnja Apscha over to the Tiachiv Raion in Hruschowo in the historic region of Maramures open out into the Tisza to.
