Working group of the institutes for bee research

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The working group of the institutes for bee research or in short AG bee institutes is an amalgamation of state and private research, advisory and investigation institutions in the field of apiculture and bee research. The working group serves the exchange of information and the bundling of competencies. In the AG, 22 institutes, including university working groups, beekeeping schools and examination offices, are united in a registered association.

The office is located at the Institute for Apiculture in Celle , which is now part of the Lower Saxony State Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (LAVES). The chairman is Werner von der Ohe from the Institute for Apiculture. Among other things, the working group organizes an annual conference and coordinates the DEBIMO project, the "German bee monitoring".
