Adrian Kozniku (born October 27, 1967 in Đakovica , SFR Yugoslavia ), first name also Ardian or Adrijan , is a former Croatian football player .

The striker played in the top league of Yugoslavia, Croatia, France and Cyprus and was champion four times, cup winners twice and top scorer once.

Career

Kozniku's career in professional football began in the 1988/89 season at KF Prishtina in the Yugoslav second division. In 1990 he moved to the first division club Hajduk Split , where he was Yugoslav Cup winner in 1991, Croatian champion in 1992 and 1994 and Croatian cup winner in 1993. In 1994 AS Cannes signed him, where he a. a. was in the same team as Patrick Vieira and Johan Micoud . Following the Le Havre AC station , he moved to the Cypriot club APOEL Nicosia for half a year and then to Corsica to SC Bastia . Back in Croatia, he won two Croatian championships with Dinamo Zagreb and played in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League from 1998 to 2000 .

After an interlude at FC Kärnten in the second division of Austria , he ran for Hrvatski Dragovoljac Zagreb at the end of his career . In total, he completed 245 first division and 65 second division games and scored 94 goals in the first and 17 goals in the second division.

In the Croatian national team Kozniku made his debut on April 20, 1994 in Bratislava against Slovakia and took part in the 1998 World Cup, but was not used in the final tournament. He played a total of seven games for Croatia and scored two goals.
