Content (examples)

In terms of content, the songs are mainly about the war and its meaning, as well as social grievances in American society, but also about social isolation and inner loneliness . In the song Prisoner 105 , the singer tells the story of a prisoner who was abandoned in the desert and his way into "life". He describes the man as a believer, but also as a drug addict , so that he does not know whether God has helped him. The content of the song Legion is about the crucifixion of Jesus . In this song, Jesus is portrayed as a liar who is believed to have died because of the sins of his Father (God). The Butterfly is a love song. Later it turns out that the protagonist describes his beloved as a butterfly that soars into the sky. In Letters Home , the sixth song on the album, it's about a man who after a broken relationship with a killer mutated and wants to kill everyone. He says that he will do anything to be able to come back to her.

Music genre

The band uses classic elements of metal and hard rock in their music style . The singer changes from clear vocals to guttural vocals in every song . Often these are screamings , so that the style can also be classified as screamo . From the content of the lyrics one can also conclude that the band works with elements of emo .
