Argenton-Château is a former commune in the Deux-Sèvres department in France . It merged with the previous municipalities of Boësse and Sanzay to form the municipality of Argenton-les-Vallées, effective September 1, 2006 . On January 1, 2016, this was merged with Le Breuil-sous-Argenton , La Chapelle-Gaudin , La Coudre , Moutiers-sous-Argenton and Ulcot to form the Commune nouvelle Argentonnay .
