Ariana Kukors

Ariana Kukors (born June 1, 1989 in Federal Way , Washington ) is an American swimmer and world record holder in the 200 meter individual medley on the long distance.

At the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships 2006 in Canada, Ariana Kukors won a silver medal in the 400 meter medley. In 2007, she was at the FINA World Championships in Melbourne over 400 meters individual medley at No. 5. In the Olympic Trials in the US in 2008 , it reached 02: 28.55 minutes over 200 meters breaststroke place. 6

At the swimming world championships in Rome in 2009 she set a world record in the semi-finals over 200 meters on the 50-meter lane. With 2: 07.03 minutes on July 26th, 2009 she exceeded the previous record of the Australian Stephanie Rice from 2008 by 1.42 seconds. On July 27, 2009, she broke her own record with 2:06:15 minutes and reached first place. In Rome , she came second with the US 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay.
