Arlene Donovan (* 20th century ) is a film producer who was nominated for an Oscar .
Career
Arlene Donovan has been a film producer since her involvement in the 1982 thriller In the Silent Night by Robert Benton , starring Roy Scheider and Meryl Streep . From this film on, the collaboration between director and producer was repeated several times. For her second participation in a film, she received an Oscar nomination in the category " Best Picture " at the 1985 Academy Awards for A Place in the Heart . The award was given to Saul Zaentz for Amadeus . Other joint projects with Benton were the comedy film Nadine - A Bulletproof Love (1987) with Jeff Bridges and Kim Basinger , the gangster film Billy Bathgate (1991) with Dustin Hoffman , Nicole Kidman and Bruce Willis , and the comedy Nobody's Fool (1994 ) with Paul Newman , Bruce Willis and Melanie Griffith , as well as the thriller Im Twilight (1998) with Paul Newman, Susan Sarandon and Gene Hackman .
The only collaboration with another director was with Peter Yates and his thriller The House on Carroll Street in 1988.
