Arnaud Gérard (born October 6, 1984 in Dinan ) is a former French cyclist and later sports director .

Career

Arnaud Gérard was in 2002 in the Belgian Zolder junior world champion in road racing ahead of Jukka Vastaranta and Nicholas Sanderson and also won the national junior title.

From 2005 to 2012, Gérard had a regular contract with the UCI ProTeam Française des Jeux , after he drove as a stagiaire for this team in 2003 and 204 . He contested and completed four Grand Tours in those years and won the one-day Polynormande race in 2008 . In 2013 he moved to the UCI Professional Continental Team Bretagne-Séché Environnement (later: Team Fortuneo-Samsic), for which he finished the Tour de France two more times and in 2015 he won a stage of the Tour du Poitou-Charentes .

After the end of the 2018 season, he ended his active career and became the sporting director of his last team.
