Arno Orzessek
Arno Orzessek (born August 12, 1966 in Osnabrück ) is a German writer and journalist .
Life
Arno Orzessek grew up as the son of the railway worker Willi Orzessek and the housewife Hildegard Orzessek, née Schwidder, in Osnabrück in a pietistic household. He finished school in 1986 with the Abitur at the Osnabrück high school Carolinum , which appears as "Karlgymnasium" in his first novel Schattauer's daughter with a slight alienation. In 1994 Orzessek completed his studies in modern German literature, philosophy and art history at the University of Cologne . Since then he has been working as a journalist, including until 2005 for the Süddeutsche Zeitung . Together with other journalists, he is responsible for the cultural press show for Deutschlandradio Kultur and Deutschlandfunk .
His first novel, Schattauer's Daughter , was published in 2005 by Rogner & Bernhard Verlag exclusively for Two Thousand One and again in 2007 as a hardcover by Steidl Verlag . In March 2008, Three Steps from Glory followed , again at Steidl.

In a comment that was broadcast in December 2018 on the programs “DLF Comment” and “ @mediasres ”, he described Boris Palmer as “the Sarrazin of the Greens ” and his father as the “ Rem Stal rebel ” regardless of the Rems Valley , which is named by the Rems watercourse . His comment initially recalled the gentrification of Berlin and warned, from a human rights perspective, that perhaps only 1% of the world's population had been helped and that the consequences of a shift to the right would be accepted.
