Arnold Wilckens

Arnold Wilckens (born January 27, 1691 in Hamburg ; † July 28, 1730 there ) was a German lawyer and Hamburg councilor .

Life

After finishing school, Wilckens studied law at the University of Frankfurt an der Oder and the University of Orléans . He completed his studies in 1715 as a licentiate in law.

After various trips he returned to Hamburg and settled there as a lawyer . In 1722 he became a judge at the lower court . On October 22, 1727, Wilckens was elected councilor, but died three years later.

family

Wilckens was a son of the Hamburg councilor Nicolaus Wilckens (1649-1725) from his second marriage to Elisabeth Rulant.

On October 29, 1725 he married Margaretha Winckel. The marriage remained childless. After Wilcken's death, his widow married the lawyer Johann Heinrich Wentzhard († 1775) in 1731.
