Services
Probably the most famous work from the pen of the psychiatry professor is Why? From the profanity of asking.
“This is a psychiatrist's book. But it is - be disappointed - not a psychiatric book. It's not an anti-psychiatric book either. Be even more disappointed with that. It just wants to describe a special and very common form of human interaction. And this form of behavior is asking, more precisely: the shame that is generated by asking the respondent. So the profanity that is essentially part of asking questions. [...] "
To be in the spotlight unwillingly, reluctantly to reveal something, to be confused because the question is not precisely formulated or seems pointless, questions as a distraction from one's own responsibility and many other aspects of shame are put into words in this treatise .
