The Arroyo Cordobés , also Arroyo del Cordobés , is a river in eastern Uruguay .

The river, about 110 kilometers long, has its source in the Cuchilla Grande at a bend in National Road 7 , about 15 kilometers northeast of the city of Cerro Chato or a few kilometers southwest of Esperanzas .

The river flows on the upper reaches in a north-westerly, then in a northerly direction and at the same time forms the border of the Durazno departments - all tributaries on the left are located here - and Cerro Largo - with the tributaries on the right.

The Arroyo Cordobés flows through a very sparsely populated area that is mainly used for cattle breeding. In the middle and lower reaches the river meanders in sections. The point where it flows into the Río Negro is about 30 kilometers north of the city of La Paloma . The most important of the approximately 30 tributaries of the Arroyo Cordobés is the Arroyo Pablo Pérez .

From the confluence point at Estancia Paso de las Piedras , about 10 kilometers upstream, national road 6 cuts the river at kilometer stone 330.
