Székkutas , formerly Hódmezővásárhelykutasipuszta , is a municipality in the Csongrád-Csanád county in southern Hungary . The place is located about 15 km northeast of Hódmezővásárhely in the Hungarian Plain .

Trivia

In Hugo Hartung's 1954 novel “ I often think of Piroschka ” and in the film of the same name, completed in 1955 , Hódmezővásárhelykutasipuszta was the scene of a romance between the German student Andreas and the 17-year-old Hungarian stationmaster's daughter Piroschka Rácz in the summer of 1925 (in the novel as early as 1923).
