The Arthur-von-Weinberg-Steg is an arched pipeline, pedestrian and bicycle bridge that was built in 1981 and connects the Frankfurt district of Fechenheim with the Offenbach district of Bürgel . The footbridge crosses the Main at river kilometer 44,670.

It was named in 1983 after Arthur von Weinberg , an industrialist who perished in the Theresienstadt ghetto in 1943 . Weinberg was an important patron and honorary citizen of Frankfurt , who was persecuted during National Socialism for his Jewish descent .

The pipelines running over the Arthur-von-Weinberg-Steg connected two chemical plants, the Cassella plant in Fechenheim and the former Offenbach plant of Hoechst AG . The bridge served u. a. from 1984 to transporting the wastewater from the Offenbach plant to the wastewater treatment plant of the Fechenheim plant for cleaning . The Offenbach plant was shut down in 2010; the Cassella plant is now operated by the Allessa company in Fechenheim.
