Arthur Fussy

Arthur Fussy (born 1979 in Vienna ) is an Austrian composer and musician who works with the directors Bastian Kraft and Carina Riedl in particular for drama productions .

life and work

Arthur Fussy took piano lessons at the age of 6 and began to compose at the age of seven. After graduating from high school, he completed the audio engineering and recording arts courses at SAE Vienna . At the same time he began composing for the stage and short film.

He has been working as a freelance composer since 2004. Since 2006 he has been responsible for composition and sound at the film production company artkicks. Fussy founded the band Kunstblume and produced their first album Selfish Man in 2008 (on Recommend Records). In 2009 the CD Backstabber followed (on Highhat Records). The collaboration with the directors Bastian Kraft and Carina Riedl began at the side theaters of the Burgtheater in Vienna and led with Kraft to Munich, Hamburg and Zurich, with Riedl to Bozen, Karlsruhe and Lübeck. He worked with Bastian Kraft on several dramatizations of major novels by Oscar Wilde , Virginia Woolf , Thomas Mann , Hermann Hesse and Max Frisch and also on film adaptations based on Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Luchino Visconti .
