Arthur George Murchison Fletcher
Sir (Arthur George) Murchison Fletcher KCMG CBE (* 1878 ; † 1954 ) was a British colonial governor .
As governor, he represented the British monarch from November 22, 1929 to November 28, 1936 in the colony of Fiji in connection with the Office of the High Commissioner of the West Pacific Territories and from September 17, 1936 to 1938 in Trinidad and Tobago . Fletcher motivated the Trinidadian workers to organize in unions.
In 1929 he was made a Knight Bachelor and in 1930 Knight Commander of the Order of St. Michael and St. George .
