Arthur Honegger (* 1979 in Davos ) is a Swiss journalist , moderator and author . Since 2015 he has moderated the news magazine 10vor10 on Swiss Radio and Television (SRF). He became known as a longtime correspondent in the USA .

Life

Honegger studied journalism and political science at the University of Zurich and is a graduate of the Ringier School of Journalism . Since 2005 he has been working for Swiss Radio and Television (SRF), initially as a volunteer and reporter for Schweiz Aktuell . In 2008 he became SRF correspondent in New York , where he also worked as a columnist for the newspapers “ Sonntag ” (“Voice from America”) and the “ Aargauer Zeitung ” (“What's up, New York?”). In 2011 he took over the position of correspondent in Washington, DC as well as the management of the SRG office in the US capital.

Honegger has been presenting the news magazine 10vor10 since September 2015, alternating with Bigna Silberschmidt and Urs Gredig since 2020 . Former team colleagues were Andrea Vetsch (until 2020), Susanne Wille (until 2020) and Daniela Lager (until 2016). Among other things, Honegger coined the program motto “The look behind the headlines” at 10vor10, and in 2019 he was responsible for the series “Expedition Glück”.

In 2019 Honegger produced the four-part documentary film series Mein Unbekanntes Amerika for 3sat .

In addition to his work for newspapers and television, Honegger is known for his pointed statements on Twitter . He is married and has two children.
