Bigna Silberschmidt

Bigna Silberschmidt (* 1985 in St. Gallen ) is a Swiss journalist and television presenter . Since 2020 she has moderated the news magazine 10vor10 on Swiss Radio and Television (SRF). Before that, she moderated the news program Schweiz aktuell .

Life

Silberschmidt was born and raised in St. Gallen. She worked as a marketing assistant before 2006 bis 2009 , a study in Media and Communication Sciences , History and Business Administration at the University of Friborg completed. She gained her first experience in journalism while studying as an editor and presenter at the university radio Unimix . After completing her studies, she worked as an editor at 20 Minuten and as deputy managing director at a communications agency. She has been with SRF since 2015 . Initially employed as a radio reporter at Radio SRF 3 , she switched to the Schweiz Aktuell format in 2016 , where she initially worked as a reporter and from 2017 as a presenter. Since spring 2020 she has been part of the 10vor10 moderation team together with Arthur Honegger and Urs Gredig .

Private

Bigna Silberschmidt has roots in the canton of Graubünden . She lives in Zurich . Before that she lived in Geneva , Bern and Friborg . According to her own statements, she advocates equality privately . In March 2020 , she participated in the live dance show May I ask? , which is broadcast on SRF 1 , and together with her dance partner Pitt-Alexander Wibawa made it into the semi-finals, which was postponed to October due to the coronavirus pandemic .
