Susanne Wille

Susanne Franziska Wille Fischlin (born April 25, 1974 in Muri AG ) is a Swiss journalist and presenter .

life and career

Susanne Wille grew up in Villmergen in Aargau . She studied journalism , history and English at the universities of Friborg , Zurich and Edinburgh . In autumn 2001 she completed her studies in Zurich. She also worked as a flight attendant at Swissair before becoming a video journalist for the Aargau regional TV broadcaster Tele M1 in 1999 .

She has been a journalist for Swiss television since January 2001 and is best known as the presenter of the news magazine 10vor10 , which she initially presented from the beginning of 2001 to the end of June 2011. After working at 10vor10 , she became a Federal Palace correspondent. From summer 2013 she worked as a reporter and presenter for the Rundschau broadcast . She moderated numerous special programs, such as the 12-hour live broadcast on the 2015 national and state council elections, the Federal Council elections, the Gotthard opening and special programs on the refugee crisis. Susanne Wille also produced series of reports from Iran, Russia, Turkey, Brazil, India and Southeast Europe. In 2013 and 2014 she also moderated the annual SwissAward television gala . In 2017, Wille returned to 10vor10 as a moderator and also became a member of the news project team, but continues to moderate the Rundschau talk four times a year . At the end of May 2020, she resigned as moderator of the show 10vor10 in favor of a new position as SRF culture director. She is now also a member of the management team. She writes a column in the Aargauer Zeitung .

It is the evening news presenter Franz Fischlin married; together they have two sons and a daughter.

Awards

  • In 2005 Wille received the Bedag Media Prize for the SF special Everything under control?
  • In 2015, Wille received the MedienStar Award from the Zurich Press Association.
  • In 2016, 2017 and 2018 she was voted “Political Journalist of the Year” by the readers of the industry magazine Schweizer Journalist .

  • In 2007 the Zurich rapper Bligg wrote “Susanne”, a song about the presenter.
