Arthur Schult

Arthur Schult (born April 4, 1893 in Odenkirchen , † September 9, 1969 in Oberstdorf ) was a German educator and writer .

Life

Arthur Schult attended grammar school in Rheydt and then studied classical philology and philosophy in Münster and Berlin . With his wife Marie († 1947) he founded and ran a private reformatory in Oberstdorf. He became known to a wider public through his numerous lectures and books on Christian- spiritual and esoteric topics.

From 1927 to 1945 Schult was a member of the Anthroposophical Society . He was on friendly terms with numerous anthroposophists, in particular with Hans-Hasso von Veltheim . His main works are the books on the Gospel of John , the 800-page two-volume textbook " Astrosophy - Teaching of Classical Astrology ", in which the astrosophic teaching in the tradition of Pythagoras , Plato , Plotin , Hildegard von Bingen , Albertus Magnus , Thomas von Aquin , Dante , Leonardo da Vinci , Melanchton , Paracelsus , Kepler , Goethe and Novalis , as well as the extensive work on Dante's Divine Comedy published posthumously .
