Artur Augustyn (born January 6, 1983 in Jarocin ) is a Polish volleyball player .

Career

Augustyn started his career in 2002 at KS Morze Stettin . In 2003 he became world champion with the Polish junior national team in Tehran . Then the middle blocker played at Mostostal-Azoty Kędzierzyn-Koźle . In early 2005 he moved to AZS Nysa for a few months . In the summer of the same year he was signed by the German Bundesliga club SV Bayer Wuppertal . In 2008 he returned home and played for Chemik Bydgoszcz . In the 2009/10 season Augustyn was again active in Germany at evivo Düren . With Düren he reached the final in the DVV Cup and third place in the Bundesliga . He then moved to the league competitor VC Bad Dürrenberg / Spergau . In December 2010, it became known that Augustyn had cancer . He overcame the serious illness and came back on the field at the end of the season. In the 2011/12 season he played for the Polish club Lotos Trefl Danzig . In 2012 he returned to Spergau and played for the club, which has now been renamed Chemie Volley Mitteldeutschland, until 2017.
