Live and act

After attending primary school in Nuremberg and grammar schools in Nuremberg and Erlangen , Kolb studied classical philology for four semesters, then from 1914 to 1919 dentistry at the University of Erlangen. Formally, Kolb completed his studies in 1919 with the state examination, which was followed by a doctorate in 1920.

During the First World War , Kolb worked at the jaw shooting station in Erlangen. After the war, Kolb claimed to have taken part in the suppression of the short-lived Bavarian Soviet Republic in Nuremberg. In March 1920, he took part in the Kapp Putsch with the Erlangen student company . After the failure of this coup attempt by the political right, Kolb, who now lived as a dentist in Amberg , Bavaria , began to get involved in the nationalist movement : he first became a member of the German National Guard and Protection Association, and in 1926 he joined the NSDAP . As a member of the Sturmabteilung (SA) he took over the duties of the adjutant of a standard leader. In the party he held offices as district leader, imperial speaker and dental consultant.

From March 1933 until his death in April 1945, Kolb was a member of the Reichstag as a member of the NSDAP for constituency 25.

Kolb was also head of the Bavarian state office of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians in Germany and chairman of the state association of dentists from 1933 . In addition, he belonged to the National Socialist German Medical Association and the Reichsbund der Kinderreich , from which he was awarded the Ring of Honor and the Organization's Badge of Honor.
