The Canton of Sancerre is a French canton in the department of Cher and the region Center-Val de Loire . It includes 36 parishes in the Arrondissement of Bourges . As part of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, it was significantly expanded in spring 2015.

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Sancerre included the 18 municipalities of Bannay , Bué , Couargues , Crézancy-en-Sancerre , Feux , Gardefort , Jalognes , Menetou-Râtel , Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre , Saint-Bouize , Saint -Satur , Sancerre , Sens-Beaujeu , Sury-en-Vaux , Thauvenay , Veaugues , Verdigny and Vinon . Its layout corresponded to an area of 296.78 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 1825.
