The canton of Sancoins was 2015 a French canton in the department of Cher and the region Center-Val de Loire . It included 11 parishes in the arrondissement of Saint-Amand-Montrond ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Sancoins . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015.

The canton of Sancoins was 259.56 km 2 and last had 5508 inhabitants, which corresponded to a population density of 20 inhabitants per km 2 (as of 2012). It was on average at 209  m , between 173  m in Neuvy-le-Barrois and 268  m in Chaumont .
