The Canton of Vierzon-2 is a French canton in the department of Cher and the region Center-Val de Loire . It covers part of the city of Vierzon and nine other municipalities in the Arrondissement of Vierzon .

As part of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, its borders were redrawn in spring 2015 and its INSEE code changed from 1830 to 1819.

Until the nationwide reorganization in March 2015, the canton of Vierzon-2 included the ten municipalities of Massay , Méry-sur-Cher , Nançay , Neuvy-sur-Barangeon , Saint-Hilaire-de-Court , Saint-Laurent , Thénioux , Vierzon (sub-area) , Vignoux-sur-Barangeon and Vouzeron .
