This list is a view of the episodes so far produced and broadcast of the slice-of-life - Anime series asteroid in Love . The manga of the same name from the Quro manga serves as a template. The anime includes twelve episodes.

During a summer camp , Mira meets a boy named Ao who is interested in astronomy . He tells her that a star in the constellation whale bears her name. Since no star with Ao's name yet exists, they promise each other that one day they will find a star together. Years later, Mira attended high school and joined the Earth Science Club, an amalgamation of the astronomy and geology clubs. There she meets Ao again, who, to Mira's amazement, is a girl .

The Earth Science Club is having a barbecue near a river. During the day they look for different stones, in the evening they watch the stars in the sky. The next day they discuss who is writing which articles for their club magazine KiraKira . Only Mira seems indecisive and after criticizing her older sister about an article she wrote, she doesn't know how to work on writing a suitable article. When Ao asks Mira to make an illustration of Jupiter in the form of Greek mythology , Mira decides to present her article in the form of a manga . After the first issue of the magazine is sold out at school, the club members celebrate their success in an onsen .

Ao is visiting Mira to study for a repeat exam. There she meets Mira's older sister Misa for the first time. Later the two help out in Moe Suzuya's family's bakery and receive support from Suzu's younger sister Megu. A few days later, Mira and Ao meet their club member Mai, who is currently busy with Moe's hobby, reading geographic maps, and is accompanied by Moe. Mira and Ao pursue the two. Mira asks Mai to draw up a treasure map. Mai draws a map that leads Mira, Ao and Moe to different locations around the school.

The Earth Science Club is taking a summer outing. The members are accommodated in the house of teacher Yūki Endo's grandparents, as the journey to the planned attractions is the shortest from there. The girls visit a geological museum , where Mira learns that the stone she found on the river bank is not a fossil , but a dendrite . The next day they visit the JAXA Space Center, where Ao and Mira hope to get new information on the asteroid search. You will find out about an annual competition whose registration deadline has already expired. On the last day, the club visits a card museum, where Yūki remembers her own school days.

The girls go to the beach together. Suzu is jealous of Ao as she has been spending a lot more time with Mira lately. Suzu challenges Ao to a competition to find out who Mira's really best friend is. The next day Mira and Mikage visit a minerals exhibition. Mikage fears her future as she can't find goals for herself yet. Later they meet Sayuri Ibe and Ayano Usami from the school newspaper , who support the Earth Science Club in planning the upcoming school festival.

Thanks to the help of the members of the school newspaper, Mikage and Mai manage to take a soil sample for the school festival. Meanwhile, Mira and Ao work on props together with club president Mari and learn how Mari became interested in astronomy through her grandmother. On the day of the school's cultural festival, the Earth Science Club café becomes an insider tip among festival visitors. At the end of the festival, Mikage and Mari announce their resignation as club president and vice-president and propose Mai as his successor.

The Earth Science Club is hired to help out at a stargazing event for children. While Suzu and Megu try to get the kids under control, Haruka - one of the kids - doesn't seem to be enthusiastic about star gazing. This changes when Ao explains how the stars represent the history of the universe. The next day, Ao is in bed with a cold , so Mira and Mai visit her. Meanwhile, Mikage and Mari study for their entrance exams . Mai also decides to register for a competition.

Mai takes part in the Earth Science Olympiad and becomes friends with Saeki, another participant. Although Mai does not pass the test, she is happy to have entered the competition. The Earth Science Club gives their members a photo album at a Christmas party at Mikage and Mari that documents their time together. While visiting the shrine on New Year's Eve , Ao announced that she and her father would be moving away in March. While club members seek a solution on how Ao and Mira can keep their promise, Misa suggests that Ao and Mira could move in together.

With the support of their friends, Ao and Mira manage to convince their parents that they can both move in together. Mikage asks Suzu if she can help her make chocolate for Valentine's Day , which encourages her to make some for Mira's older sister. On the day of the graduation ceremony, members of the Earth Science Club give their former presidents Mikage and Mari graduation gifts , whereupon the latter later realizes how much she enjoyed the club activities. While Ao is moving in with Mira's family during the spring break, she and Mira get into an argument because she has rummaged through Ao's luggage. But both quickly reconcile with each other.

As the new school year begins, the Earth Science Club is joined by two new students: Yū Nanami and Chikage Sakurai, Mikage's younger sister. The group plans to organize a barbecue for its new members , but it will rain on the supposed day. Yū would like to study meteorology later in order to warn other people of possible natural disasters. The rain stops and Yū can calm down at the sight of a rainbow . Mira later manages to take part in the Shining Star competition after missing the registration deadline last year. Ao, on the other hand, fails, so Mira takes part in the competition alone. When Mira and her teacher Yuki flew to Okinawa , they find that Ao has followed them.

Yuki persuades the competition organizers to allow Ao to watch the competition as a spectator, while Mira befriends Asuka Tomori and Shiho Makita. Meanwhile, Mikage and Mari supervise the other club members when they visit JAXA again. When Wolken puts a stop to star gazing, they learn something about Yuki's participation in the Leuchtstein Challenge, in which she was influenced by another participant. The next day the weather improves and strengthens Miras and Ao's efforts to discover an asteroid.

As they watch the stars, Ao and Mira discuss which dreams they want to pursue after they have achieved their previous goal. As the second part of the asteroid photography continues, Ao discovers something moving in space. It turns out to be a well-known star. Despite all this, Mira and Ao have gained a lot of experience and motivation to continue to pursue their goals. Back at school, they tell the others about their experiences in Okinawa.
