Aubeon is an East Timorese suco in the Barique administrative office ( municipality of Manatuto ).

Before the 2015 regional reform, Aubeon had an area of ​​57.33 km². Now it is 48.95 km². The Suco is located in the south of the Barique administrative office on the Timor Sea . To the west is the Suco Uma Boco and to the north, beyond the southern coastal road, which forms one of the main traffic routes in the country, the Suco Fatuwaque . In the east, Aubeon borders on Sucos Ahic ( Lacluta administrative office ) and Luca ( Viqueque administrative office ) belonging to the municipality of Viqueque . The river Dilor forms the border with the municipality of Viqueque . In the center of Aubeon are the lakes Lagoa Weclaracan and Lagoa Craudicur . The Naan Kuro lagoon stretches along much of the coast to the west .

The largest place of sucos is Buburlaran ( Bubur Laran , Buburlolon ) in the northwest of Aubeon. The places Wemaubodak and Waicadi border on it . The village of Wecadi ( Wecade ) is located on Lagoa Weclaracan . There are primary schools in Buburlaran and Wecadi. Buburlaran also has a preschool and a helipad.

The two Aldeias Buburlaran and Wecadi are located in the Suco .

Residents

1358 inhabitants (2015) live in the Suco, of which 702 are men and 656 women. The population density is 27.7 inhabitants / km². There are 207 households in the Suco. Over 84% of the population name Tetum Terik as their mother tongue. Over 9% speak Habun , almost 3% Tetum Prasa , minorities Mambai , Makasae , Idaté , Kairui or Kemak .

In the elections of 2004/2005 was Rogerio Franco elected Chefe de Suco and in 2009 re-elected.
