The Aubois is a river in France that runs in the Cher department , in the Center-Val de Loire region . It rises in the municipal area of Augy-sur-Aubois and generally drains north to northeast and flows into the Loire as a left tributary after 37 kilometers at Marseilles-lès-Aubigny . In its upper reaches it was used to supply water to the former canal Canal de Berry , the northeast section of which follows it as a side canal until it joins the Canal latéral à la Loire .
