Marseilles-lès-Aubigny is a French commune with 657 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Cher department , in the Center-Val de Loire region .

geography

The place is on the left bank of the Loire , at the confluence of the Aubois tributary . The Canal latéral à la Loire (German: Loire-Seitenkanal) also runs through Marseilles-lès-Aubigny, but today it is mainly used for water tourism with pleasure boats and houseboats . Another waterway is the 1,955 abandoned ship channel Canal de Berry , the Northeast section follows the river Aubois and here in the Loire Lateral Canal einmündete. The mouth section has been filled in in the meantime.
