geography

Trouy is located in central France , about 150 kilometers south of Paris . Trouy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bourges in the north, Plaimpied-Givaudins in the east, Lissay-Lochy and Arçay in the south and Le Subdray in the west.

The Autoroute A71 , Route nationale 142 and the former Route nationale 144 (today D2144) run through the municipality .

history

In 1017 the place is still mentioned as Tresgolio in the Cartulaire of Saint-Sulpices in Bourges. As early as 1138 the place was mentioned as Trohi , later - in 1218 - as Troe .
