La Chapelotte is about 33 kilometers north-northeast of Bourges . The Nère rises on the northeastern municipal boundary . La Chapelotte is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Jars in the north and northeast, Le Noyer in the east and northeast, Sens-Beaujeu in the east, Neuilly-en-Sancerre in the east and southeast, Humbligny in the southeast, Henrichemont in the south and southwest and Ivoy-le- Pré to the west and northwest.
