Plaimpied-Givaudins is located in central France , about 150 kilometers south of Paris on the Auron and the Canal de Berry . Plaimpied-Givaudins is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bourges in the north, Soye-en-Septaine in the northeast, Saint-Just in the east, Senneçay in the south, Lissay-Lochy in the west and southwest and Trouy in the west and northwest.

The A71 autoroute and the national route 142 run through the municipality .
